This is a special StorySlam Oakland, hosted by our friends Beau and Tom at Pretty Good Stories (prettygoodstories.org). It’s a mashup of 2 storytelling formats: the open-mic Storyslam Oakland one we know and love intertwined with 3 longer-form stories.There will be 5 open mic spots, randomly picked. And there will be stories from Beau, Tom and one special guest. There will be prizes. And Don Doblados will be playing electric guitar. Also, beer and delicious food.Come out. Put your name in the hat to tell a story if you’re inspired. The theme is: themeless. That’s right, tell a story on any subject of your choosing. We’ll see if we can find themes in the stories as the night goes on.
